TLDR:

There have been a lot of changes over the last 24 hours. The clan governance model has been altered as have a number of specific policies. Things are under control and nothing changes for the average member. If you are interested in the details, you can read them below.

Members, thank you for your loyalty through this transition period. As first among equals in the High Council, I promise to do my best for the clan and avoid repeating the mistakes of prior leaders. The clan has a bright future ahead of it and I'm excited to welcome each of you along for the ride.

1) High council consists of 5 members of equal rank

Rather than going with the traditional structure of a President, VP, and High Command we have agreed to go with a "High Council" consisting of 5 members. Those 5 members are:

Shortland
SunGodEffect
Remo
Kira
Orion

The five of us share equal power.

2) There is a second tier of authority called Officers

These Officers can schedule clan events such as practice sessions or clanwars. They also have the power to recruit new members to the clan. For the most part an officer has the same privileges and responsibilities that they have always had.

Any member that is interested in becoming an officer may message a member of the High Council for consideration.

3) These are the only gradations of officers

There are no more ranks beyond member, officer or high council. There will be a transition period as clan infrastructure is updated to reflect this.

4) New recruitment policy

A prospective member is no longer required to create an account on the website prior to being given the clantag. HOWEVER, we are instituting a new rule that they instead must get on discord and demonstrate a working microphone before being added to the clantag. This replaces the previous requirement.

5) New clanwar scheduling policy

Only Officers or High Council members may schedule clanwars. This must be IMMEDIATELY posted onto the forums. NOT DISCORD. High Council members will take these forum posts and copy them to the events tab on SC2 and Discord for everyone to see, but officers will not have the ability to do this directly.

6) Expansion and focus on Starcraft

ConFed is a Starcraft clan. While we will continue to support players enjoying other games the clan's main focus will be Starcraft. There will be less emphasis on grand expansion planning and more on fostering a strong sense of community.

7) New automated addition of members to the rosters based on RankedFTW

This goes along with the new recruitment policy. Rather than a manual process of adding members the rosters with a complicated chain of paperwork and forum groups, this will be fully automated.

8) New inactive processing based on roster inactive summary forum post

On a similar note to the new automated member addition functionality, Shortland will also be writing a new system for modernizing inactive processing. Further details will be communicated as the system is finalized.

9) Remo as official treasurer

As recent events have made only too clear, it is important to safeguard accounts. Remo has been paying the bills and acting in this role since late 2015 and will continue to do so. He will hold all official accounts and manage finances.

10) Business as usual

There has been a lot of drama over the last day but members can be assured that everything is under control. If anything, the process of fixing the clantag has emphasized how active and passionate ConFed members are. Your loyalty is recognized and appreciated.

Bravo! Only note... I cant access discord at home, and while I can access discord at my campus... Youre not allowed chit-chat in any of the labs... So, aside from the working mic part, everything looks good! When school starts back up, when Im playing SC2, I should have access to discord then, so ho-rah on that... Just know that until my situation (Like, dad takes discord off my "not-allowed at home" list...) changes a fair bit, My accessing discord with mic won't happen... sad

(And no, I aint some guy living in my parents basement kind of thing... Im still in high-school, but my grades were good enough that theyre letting me take community college courses instead of high-school courses, with the high-school paying for them... So I can basically graduate high-school with my associates for free... good stuff!)
