| Ok so your looking at this like, DAFUQ JD? Well stop. So what I am asking of my fellow clan mates is too reach out too the new members, and get them active! so we have a bunch of "members" but how many have you seen in the channel at once? Perhaps 20-27? I think 27 is the current record. Now that's a pretty big difference. That means that the vast majority of your fellow comrades that aren't in the channel or even online. So what happens too them? Well they fall off the radar, and get banned for inactiveness. This is sad and it does not need to be this way. Too be honest only a handful of the members that joined in the first weeks of HOTS launch tive. maybe if your a masters, diamond, or plat maybe find a new cadet who is gold and below, and play 2's with them. Crush other players and it will make the new members feel good. Or get a group of cadets or privates and make a 4's team. Go own battle net in the name of The Confederation. There is no use in burning out the CRA by having them turn in new member after new member only too have them just fade away after a week, or not even take the cadet test. So how else do we enhance member retention? Well here are some ideas
1. When you log on for the day, look under the members tab. Then look at the channel and look to see how many members are on and in the clan channel, and how many members are just online if there are members who are online but not in the clan channel message them! This happens a lot, and when ever I log on I try to do this.
2. If you recruit someone, or if you have someone go to the website and sign up and they end up joining by all means friend list them. Play games with them. Talk to them. Get a battle Buddie! http://the-confederation.net/forum/2-284-1
3. If your of better skill please take a break from your climb too masters and help people, if new members get better at playing, they have more fun, and with more fun they play more, and they might tell a friend, and so on.
4. Encourage members to get team speak! Team Speak Is an amazing clan tool, and we must utilize this. Just talk to people make them feel like a true comrade.
5. WEBSITE WEBSITE WEBSITE WEBSITE!!!!! Get new members too become active on the forums, and the website as a whole, High website traffic is good for everyone involved, especially the forum. The forum was the heart of the old clan. And with all the smartphones and I pads of todays world its even more accessible, so we can all stay in contact even when we are at work, or school, or awkward blind dates, you know the ones when you realize why your friends girl friend wouldn't let you see any pictures first?
The clan motto is Strength, Pride, Unity. We have the Strength 94 members, and the keepers branch is coming along nicely. We are proud to be members of this clan, However the unity is lacking! So instead of pulling your hair out trying to recruit members so you can be fleet admiral someday(you still should) try and keep the ones we have (especially people who pass the test) in the clan and it will be noticed!

I love playing team games wuth the new members, I enjoy them beijg happy in and around the clan. I think the part about people staying in channel is done well already, as I remember seeing 19 out of 19 people in the channell. We do a greatjob at this. | Hmm weird. I don't get disconnected from ConFed chat during games. But I do have it set to change me to Busy status upon entering a game so I don't see it across my screen in-game.
Do you have "Auto-join channels" selected in the interface?
I'll try to look into this when I get home.

| Greetings,
Settings -> Options -> Social -> "Show Chat Channels In-Game"
This will allow you to stay in ConFed Community during a game. As Crpytys mentioned above, you need to set your status to busy to keep from seeing the chat during your game.
