| I take beta blockers. They are, with no doubt in my mind, a performance enhancing drug for starcraft. They:
Block the action of adrenaline on the beta-adreneginc receptors
Reduce essential tremor (steadier hands)
Reduce heartrate
Suppress the physical effects of anxiety
I call them my anti-tilt pills. They are prescription and I take them as a prophylactic for migraines for which they are very effective. They have also made me decidedly less anxious as people who were in the clan 8-9 months ago can attest. I had a major problem with tilt that is much much better now. And yeah, they steady the hands.
I feel like they have substantially increased my performance in starcraft. They have also increased my performance in osu! due to the improved fine motor control. They have even improved my performance in mathematics through increased clarity of thought (hard to think about math when you have a continuous transformed migraine).
They are also tested for and banned as a performance enhancing drug in a number of marksmanship sports because of the hand steadying effect. Likewise they are prescription only due to the effect on the heart and potentially dangerous withdrawl.
I love em, changed my damn life. Not for casual use though.

| I took lots of steroids for competition use however my hands got so big and buff they could no longer press the keys properly and thats why my rank has been dropping. So Instead I decided to roll my face across the keyboard. This didn't help me when playing as zerg but surprisingly it made me win games as Protoss.

| Deff a convo worth having. If E-Sports are to be taken as a legitimate sport, they should be held at the standards of a professional competition; meaning no cheating!
However, it does subtract to the good old fun of playing video games. I think if you wanna take whatever you want, u can, but in a professional setting, i can deff see why someone on methamphetamine would have a mechanical advantage to someone who's playing naturally sober. It's deff an ethical issue. I say play whatever you wanna be on, just have fun!
