| In your average zerg game, when is the best time to bring mutas into play if you do at all? i know a lot of players that will just bring mutas into the fight and then straight up lose to a hard counter. So what builds do mutas counter the best? Or is it best to make a small amount of mutas for harassment only?

| Versus terran, you should always get mutas, and harass with them. Mutas are useful in this matchup due to their agility, as they can clean up drops and fleeing medivacs easily. Once the muta ball gets big, to a size of 25-30, it is almost unstoppable by 1 turret, and you can kill lots of scvs
Versus zerg, you will see muta v muta sometimes, or muta v roach. In muta vs muta, whoever gets the initial lead usually wins, as the lead snowballs. Make sure not to give away free mutas, and to try to get a good fight. In roach v muta, if you are going roach hydra, get infestors. A good fungal can kill all of his mutas, and win you the game. When you are going mutas, and him roach you need to defend your third, as he will likely try to do a roach push to kill the third since mutas wont kill them quickly. You have to hold that, then avoid fungals late game
Versus protoss, mutas are not seen in standard play. However, many progamers do a "muta switch" where they are going one composition, like roach hydra and have a big bank, then suddenly make lots of mutas to surprise the protoss. The protoss will see roach hydra, and will build immortals. If the protoss doesnt scout the spire, and start to make phoenixes, you will likely win.

| In ZvZ now, its mostly roach vs roach and spores pretty much counter mutas cuz they 3 shot a muta. So if you do go for mutas it would have to be later in the game where u go for a mass muta switch
