| Well I'm currently out to sea and going absolutely bonkers that I can't play right now and slap some nerdlets around. How's the new season going for you guys? Are the new maps fun and showing some neat variations of play? Hook me up with some war stories, I'm going crazy out to sea right now haha.
Also, list your goals for the season, this can be fun to look back on!

| The new maps are way better against toss... too bad ur toss. I enjoy them, it adds a better element of play. More diverse, better options, very fun. I am doing pretty well in the ladder because of this.

| Haha, the maps being better or worse for protoss doesn't bother me at all since I don't play orthodox, ever. Hell it could be an advantage for me but we'll see when I get back. How'd you get demoted 2 leagues dude? That's fucking wild. Did anyone get promoted out of this or did pretty much everyone get demoted?

New maps are a little retarded for Protoss... some maps you cannot even take a 3rd because they made the wide 3rds that were almost impossible to defend in the previous pool for PvZ, EVEN WIDER (wtf)... Not to mention the wide-ass chokes of some naturals...
Yeah, this went from being balanced for Protoss in PvZ and Protoss blink-favored in PvT to COMPLETELY Zerg-favored against both T and P...
"Retarded" is what I can describe the season so far... It might get better; I'll keep ye posted, ye ol' seaman. :P
Now, you shall feel the power of the Protoss...

| I will start playing ranked once the dust settles down. It's always crazy during the first weeks of the season. As for the maps... I like their design overall, a little bit too favoring for zerg perhaps, but we'll see how it goes.

Protoss has Build Orders that go past 2 bases? I know I haven't seen any of those.

| New maps are fun to me, but for some reason zerg seems stronger this season. I don't know if it's the maps or if I suddenly suck in TvZ.
I haven't played a lot yet because of Easter, but I will continue my hopeless attempts at Masters. I think my mmr is dropping to low diamonds/top plats lately TT None of my winrates are over 50% yet. Far from it, in fact.

| MMR: Match Making Rating.
So basically, when you win a game, you gain MMR ( depending on how good ur opponent is, if he is really good you rise a lot, if he is bad you rise a tad, etc.) Once you are good enough with out reasonable doubt to move up, you are promoted. Once you fall into the grey area or the league below level of MMR, you are demoted at start of season.
I dunno why blizz doesn't let you see your MMR.. :/

| How's everyone doing now that we've had more time and the leagues have been adjusted? I reached one of my goals and partially reached another. I made it into masters and I stayed in top 8 for a couple of days, I been inactive lately on the ladder though, looks like I have to play more often to stay there!

| I had to relearn this map pool from scratch, considering the last season I played was 2013 season 1... Regardless it only took me about 20 games to get to platinum and I should be back in diamond within the next 20. I think maps are a non factor for most players at the mid level. You just do what you have to do and let your mechanics make up the difference. The only real problem I notice with maps is swarmhost play, but that is more to do with the unit, its just a few maps in the pool really exacerbate the problem.

| Yeah some of the maps are REALLY good for swarmhost play once the Z gets a good lockdown on the flow of the game. The maps are just good for Z in general. I've even found using Z as my offrace vs P takes less effort than PvP with these maps in play. You pretty much have to build a giant wall just to be safe, and even then you're wasting so many resources early, and the Z can build momentum from that once he has map control with lings to boost his economy and play greedy as hell.

| I did not reach my goal at all, this last season left more questions than gave answers. I wanted to improve my Terran play but I seemed to abandon Terran all together and possibly have switched to Zerg new goal Platinum Zerg next season. Or just PLatinum 1's as a whole!

| Well, I finally played my Placement.
It was a PvP...My worst matchup. And for once...
I won X-D
I ended up having 5 bases at the end, along with +3 +3 +3 Skytoss army(a rare scenario indeed)
And for some odd reason, he went for a Mass Carrier/Tempest build...Against my Skytoss XD
The end result? I get called a "gay hacker dog" as the dude ragequits.
