Below I am going to link what all is involved in the latest patch, 2.1.
Ladder Issues
First off, the most important fix of all Ladder Improvements. Blizzard will be switching the distribution, not MMR. Once the patch is live, you will play one match. After that match, you will either be promoted or be left in the same league.
MMR is not addressed in this patch. Click on the hyperlink above to learn more about this.
Balance Issues
On top of that, there have been some strong opposition to how strong Protoss is. While there is not update in 2.1 for balance issues (since the last balance patch wasn't too long ago), Blizzard has provided some insight on what might be changed.

SC / SC:BW Soundtrack
Additionally, the we will see the revival of the original Starcraft soundtrack. You will be able to change these settings through your Options -> Sounds tab in SC2.
Clan and Group Improvements
Much of you know that we are extremely excited for the addition of decals, badges, member filter, and the events tab. You can read all about it here. Unfortunately, there is no member cap fix just yet.
Extension Mods
Not much to say about this, click the link to learn more about how the community will be able to change game play in cool ways!
Level Cap Increase - Carbot Portraits
They have decided to up the level cap of a race and include new cool portraits. Additionally, you will receive more XP for your first win of the day. Read more here.
Unconfirmed Additions
It's unconfirmed but rumored that there will be a way to deal with AFK Lobby hosts and members.
The patch was scheduled to go live at 2pm EST, but has been pushed back to 4pm EST.

Since this post is about the new patch, I just wanted to confirm if we are still using the same 'Confed Community' group to meet, or is there a new clan meeting place. I tried going on but the group was empty...
