| Hey there!
I figured I would post this here instead of posting in the Strategy Forum seems that one is pretty dead, and I want as many people as possible to see this.
Let me start this off with a little story: Once upon a time when I was a little silver noobie I played a ladder game. Blizzard matched me up against this Protoss player, who beat me. Since I was eager to improve I asked him for advice, and he told me to look up a man called Day9. From that point on I watched many of his daylies, and learned a LOT. I did not only learn HOW games were played (the meta at the time), but more importantly WHY things were done, I learned key concepts of how Starcraft 2 works. Sadly Day9 stopped making Starcraft daylies, and while many noobies -- and even veterans -- resort to watch his old work, it has been a while and the meta has evolved, and people generally don't like to watch old stuff (the newer the better, am I right?!).
Thus I want to begin producing videos in which I analyse games and explain concepts, themes, and WHY things are done, instead of just hyping up games without teaching little to nothing. I plan to devote one video (maybe cut up in several parts á la Day9, depending on what the viewership prefers) per theme. A theme could be pretty much anything. It could be a single build, a gsl series, or even just a compilation of games analysed to answer some questions (maybe even analyse viewer games) and showcase the different variations and possibilities.
For now I will only cover the Zerg match ups (ZvP, ZvT, ZvZ), as I feel not competent enough playing the other races and nailing all intricacies. However, Protoss and Terran players can still benefit by gaining more knowledge about Zerg, and thus being able to more effectively read them.
So this is where you guys come into play. I have a couple of ideas for themes and such, but I have no idea where to start. Therefore I would greatly appreciate if anyone interested could leave some suggestions in the replies, in order for me to know where the biggest problems and mysteries lie.
Thanks to everyone who even read this far, even if you don't reply :P!

| tl;dr boo wants to be famous
suggestion:
perhaps have a segment of the video where you have a player of the other race explain some stuff for that side. not that theyre with you the whole video, which would make it seem like a cast, but just to throw something in for the other race in that game

| Has nothing to do with fame -- I just want to drop the knowledge.
Anyhow, thanks for your suggestion! I might try to get someone elses perspective on things and bring those points up by myself, since getting people in the video would require some additional setting up and editing to keep things neat and high quality (lol).
Thanks once again for your suggestion, Neon!

| Great idea! & great I agree with Darwin! I fucking hate LOTV - and it's constantly (rarely) being patched (nerf T and buffed Z and P) - Though you can definitely do some type of weekly/daily segments i.e.: "ZvT Siege tank drops" - go into detail of "what, when, why, where, how" - explain: "what:" what siege tank drops are - pretty self explanatory = open segment 'you all know that annoying thing Terrans do right? Siege tank drops...',
"when:" when (what time) you should expect to see siege tank drops to the minute based on whether they went gas first or what.
"why:" explain why terran does this- the primary purpose T does siege tank drops is to kill queens and drones - DONT LET THIS HAPPEN.
"where:" maybe siege tank drops aren't popular on 4 player maps? / direction in which tank will be shooting hatch from - position spine & spore in that position
"how:" how to deal with the drop in general - (AFAIK some T use it as a TvZ opener? - how to defend it with just queen/how many lings to make etc.)
TL;DR; Keep in mind the 4 Ws and 1 H we all learned in 4th grade: "what, when, why, where, how" I'd think it'll help out with producing content especially if you don't know where to start/are speechless.

| Boo, I think this is a great idea. Your casting has been improving a lot and I'm really looking forward to see your first strategy videos.
If you make them we will help you advertise the hell out of them. Make sure and include a confed logo!
You rock
PS I would really like to see some videos specific to scouting. Gas timings, gas counting, windows, expand timings.
What are the top 5 protoss cheese in each matchup and how do you spot them as each race?

| Hey everybody!
First off I'd like to thank each and everyone off you for taking the time to think of and write such detailed replies, which contain things I haven't thought about and will definitely help me produce higher quality content!
Now I'd like to go into a bit more depth and give my thoughts on you guys' replies.
I completely agree with you, Darwin, in terms of preparing content and graphics and that stuff in before hand, in order to provide continuous content. As far as starting with Legacy, I don't think I can or want to do that. I don't play that game and it is being patched like every week or two at this point, and we're talking about giant, massively game-altering changes. I think I will stick to Hots for now, since a lot of concepts will still be the same in Legacy and a lot of people are still playing Hots. Thanks a lot for your suggestions!
Shortland, thank you for providing simple, but yet important basic advice, and even giving a wonderful example! Mucho appreciated
Thanks for the praise, Remo, but I really don't deserve it (lol). If you'd help advertisig that would truly be great ans greatly appreciated. In terms of including a ConFed logo, you just need to send me some off the ConFed graphics and I'll figure something out. Also, thanks for your suggestions for things to cover! I have plans to cover scouting a lot, since that's what a lot of people --regardless of league -- have trouble with, and in addition to that is fundemental in every RTS game! The only thing I am not sure about is what you mean with 'windows'. In regards to the protoss cheeses I am no sure whether I will deliberately make a video for that.
Warlordz, please, I am sure Remo is not talking about Legacy ;P
Jacobis, if I ever plan to go into more detailed, intricate Terran stuff, I'll be sure to get any help I need from you. Thanks for that! Also, thanks a lot for offering your help for recording, but I actually remembered I could just use my laptop for that. It has a native resolution of 1440x900 (some weird 8:5 ratio), but I tested changing resolutions and if I set it to 1280x720 it seems to be not too bad, so I think I'll stick with that.
Anyway, thank you all for being so helpful and supportive!
Mucho appreciated

| Windows as in time intervals. Like say you scout what appears to be oracle. The soonest it is going to arrive is 5:20. If it hasn't appeared by 6:30 or so it is likely to not happen at all and you need to adjust accordingly for the other possibilities. The idea being that *not* observing something can be powerful information in itself.
Another example would be a zerg's third. At a certain point its absence indicates an incoming all-in. There is a window for that third to come down.

| Thanks for clarifying, Remo! I totally agree with you that the not observing something is a crucial part of scouting/understanding what your opponent is doing.
