Ok so I have a plan for a new way of doing training night's that will be a bit more focused on helping people improve rather than just play a few games.

My basic idea is to host a peep mode with everyone that wants to play and have me and one or two other diamond or masters guys that are there just to coach. What would then happen is when two guys are matched up to play each player would go to a separate ts channel with a coach who would then help them through the game and give them tips and so on.

Another thing I would like to try is to have two training nights a week, one for guys from bronze to plat and one from diamond onward. This I think would make it a bit more fun for everyone because you not gana end up with Liqht vs bronzie who just started playing 1v1s.

Thats the basics of my idea, it still needs some work so ill take any ideas anyone has on how I can improve this.

Also if you will be interested in playing or coaching in this type of training night please let me know so I know what im working with.

Thanks
Captain FallenAngel

I think this is a step into the right direction. However I have to say that I feel like that telling a player what to do while he plays is not all too efficient. It is really hard --especially for lower league players with bad mechanics-- to incorporate all the new information they gate into their game while maintaining their macro/micro etc.
Thus I think it might be a good idea to have a general theme for a training night such as discussing all sorts of styles in the different match ups and teaching the lower league players the thoughts behind all the things so that they understand WHY they do something, which will make the HOW easier to do.

So my idea is basically start out with some theory maybe with a replay showcasing some level ZvP hydra ling vs the baguette style which is so popular right now and explain why certain actions are made. Then after that is done you play the stlye with the people who are in the training night and analyse the games and what they have to work on.
The problem here is that that makes mostly sense from a diamond+ as lower leagues do weird stuff all the time and it won't help some gold guy to play against that when he has to deal with mass voidray stuff.

So this is why I believe that for the lower level peepmode you should focus more on drilling them to improve their mechanics such as injecting, spreeding creep, making units etc etc, since that is way more important than any strategy will ever be. You can have a shit composition but still win because you just have so much more stuff than your opponent in lower leagues.

Just my 2 cents

I used to do some stuff. Now I don't anymore.

+1 amazing idea!!!

I rarely attend Peepmode/Traning Night b/c I dislike the fact the "Training Night" is just a regular Peepmode where a Masters player can go against a silver (doesn't exactly help a silver player to just get stomped over).

But yes! With your idea (FallenAngel) hopefully Training Night can be constructive and useful biggrin Look forward to attend biggrin

I will try to make all training nights. My schedule at work just changed so I will be working about 90 mins later than I used to so I should be getting home about 20 mins before training night starts
