| Well guys, the new season is here. They have promised that this time they really did fix the league distributions and they are removing mmr decay. Since the new season hadn't started yet on NA, I hopped on EU tonight.
Everyone on the ladder plays 5 placement matches. The whole server's mmr records have been wiped. GM, go 5-0 placement and you're now diamond. Masters, go 5-0 placement and you're now diamond. Scrub league Remo, high plat NA, go 2-3 placement and silver.

I feel slightly better in that most of the silver players I'm up against are multi-season masters :P
It is still 1.5hrs before the new season starts on NA and I need to go to bed but I rather expect they will wipe the mmr for us just the same as on EU. Whatever progress I've made will be gone.

Why this is dumb:
Everyone has to do 5 placement matches.
Game decides in its infinite wisdom that since I had 5 matches against ex diamonds etc I am a silver.
All ex plats diamonds and masters etc have to do 5 matches.
Their 5 matches are reking me yet the ladder treats it like a fair loss and thus they eat me and I plummet further down the silver ladder.
