| Hey guys. Please feel free to use this thread for any questions or discussion that you are interested in regarding the Terran vs Protoss matchup (from the Terran perspective of course). This can cover everything from how to properly engage certain Protoss compositions with your Terran army (general solid habits), timings to look for that tell you a Protoss' build, etc.
My first question is how do you other Terrans determine whether to go 2 rax or 3 rax from a reaper/reactor expand? For me, I've switched to 2 rax at the recommendation of some Protoss friends of mine in order to get faster medivacs, but I have been told that 3 rax holds a blink stalker all-in much easier. Also, the timings of my gasses are incredibly important during this build, and I usually don't do a great job of it quite yet.
Another discussion I'm interested in is how many of you will start constant hellbat production once you see fast upgrades and a twilight council for charge? How has that been working out for you vs an all marine composition with better dps vs zealots, etc. ?
Let me know what you think and feel free to ask questions of your own! Would love to see a lot of participation and improve my understanding of this matchup (my worst).

| I always go 2 rax. You want the faster medivacs for map control and still allows you to get a reasonably fast 3rd and decent ups. You just have to make sure you feign aggression and dont lose those units since you are kind of skimping. If you delay toss' 3rd till 12 minutes or so and force them to build alot of units and dont lose anything yourself than job well done.

| I've been having trouble with protoss that go templar first with lots of chargelots. I go 2 rax, 3rd CC, 3 more rax, then upgrades. But by the time I have that and am just starting my ghost academy, the toss already has both ht and colossi. Then I have to choose between ghosts or vikings.

| Hey I'm still learning a lot myself. If you guys have any specific questions, let me know. But I did manage to find this article on how Polt dominates blink stalker all-ins with his 3 rax opener and strategies.

| Thanks a lot for the Info Cryptys. I personally use Hellbat-Mech against protoss with early aggression using Hellions and WidowMines with really nice results against players up to Upper Diamond Leaguers. I took it from episode 575 of Day9 Dailies'.

From personal experience I can tell you that if you manage to do a lot of damage to the workers and your opponent has only one nexus you pretty much can win the game easily. If they have a natural expansion you should be quick with the agression before they get to make too many immortals or switch to air, start with the DT harassment or any other of their usual tactics.

Blink stalker allins are far less common for me on the new maps since they generally are not good for blink. The only maps that I can think of where they can still be a pain are Frost, King Sejong Station, and possibly Habitation Station (from the gold) or Alterzim.
LichKing, are you facing 2 base blink stalker allins? Are you on 2 bases yourself? Let me know and I'll try to help but see the Polt article I linked earlier in this thread for help.

| I'm usually on a 2 base when I get attacked by it and I don't have enough units to hold because I went for a fast expand

| If it's 1 base blink-allin, you have to lift your expansion CC and defend in your main. Just try to survive with an extra CC and you'll be ahead after the attack finishes.
A 2-base blink all-in is like any other ground attack except it can enter your main at specific locations. Delay your medivacs momentarily so you can make bunkers with scvs with auto-repair at your natural and the blink-up locations (which are specific per map). Prioritize making marauders over marines. If you still don't feel safe, add more rax or make mines from your factory.
