| Hi fellow Clan members!
Since there are still no threads in this forum, let me oblige!
HOTS imho was the best SC2 campaign between WOL and HOTS. I ABSOLUTELY LOVED the way they did the whole mission settings and the story delivery. I really felt like I was Kerrigan the entire time, and not just playing her. You can feel the intensity of her emotions, her turmoils and her pain, as well as her joy, however limited and fleeting it was.
I adored the HOTS campaign, and I felt it was closer to the way the Broodwar story was, and that says a lot in terms of the improvement on a lot of things that WOL had failed to deliver on, such as dialogue.
What are your thoughts?
Now, you shall feel the power of the Protoss...

| I love the HoTS campaign however I've still yet to finish it. Been so busy with the Clan and I'm also trying to improve my gameplay. I heard the ending was awful though.

| Quote (CrunChy) I heard the ending was awful though. It wasn't.
It was perfect. People wanted Kerri or Raynor to have died or some stupid BS - makes little sense for the continuation into LOTV without Kerrigan when she is the key to stopping the Dark Voice and his plans with the hybrids. And Raynor needs to stay alive for people to keep liking Starcraft as a franchise. I won't say more.
Now, you shall feel the power of the Protoss...

| Spoiler Alert*
I actually completly agree with you Xecutor. And that was one of my biggest problems with WoL it really just didnt even come close to the Origonal and BW campaigns. I haven't played the BW campaign in years and I can still remember nearly every level, the storyline was so memorable. While I still wont say that HoTS was better then bw it was a giant leap in the right direction. If Blizzard stays on this path Legacy of the Void is going to be intense.
As for the ending, I think it was a great ending. Blizzard definitely did a good job of deepening the characters throughout story making the separation very emotional. Although I have to admit that throughout the campaign I was hoping for Kerrigan to stay human and get back with Raynor . But even though they separated I'm glad they ended it with him coming back to her to help, you can tell they really do love each other, but of course Kerrigan doesn't have much choice.
One thing I do have to say in criticism(and I think ill make a separate thread) is that brutal always seems way to easy. In WoL and HoTS. I realize its because I play a lot of SC but still.
I have a lot of comments about the campaign this is just a quick overview type thing.

| Thats the point... all 3 races are basically allies. I`m sure the Protoss on Shakuras will not be super accepting of the zerg but I think in Legacy of the void Zeratul will convince them that they need to set their differences aside so that they can fight Amon, and not just all get slaughtered. But yes Zerg is under the control of Kerrigan and Kerrigan loves Raynor, and Raynor is allied to Zeratul and Valerian, the new ruler of Korhal. So Raynor/Valerian/Zeratul/Kerrigan are all allied along with all of their followers. So actually I think that it is pretty epic the way the storyline is shaping up. All of the heroes/races are going to ally up against a god and his Tal`Darim followers. I hope that Tassadar is brought back into the mix as well, and I think he will be.
Think Im right?

| I dont know what blizz will do. They could really turn it any way they want it. But what I hope they do and I'm sure they will is, they're going to make it big, reakky big to conclude to all the hype around the story, and hopefully deliver a proper ending and not give a shitty "buy our next game to see what happens" ending. All I want is a huge ass final battle with everyone in it (not considering which side they're on) and a logical, plausible conclusion of the victors.
I was diamond, until I took an arrow to the knee.

| I like to think that there will still be war between protoss and zerg for most of the LOTV campaign until the last levels where they have to ally to stop AMON.
As for the HOTS campaign... I like dit quite a lot, such an unique feeling which is what I like when I play a campaign, to feel it different from the normal multiplayer, I cleared it on Brutal in less than a month and got all the achivements for it sooo XP

| Hmm.. Well I guess this serves as the inspiration I needed to return to the realms of the campaign world and finish the HoTS storyline. Even if I'm fully aware as to what is to come it should definitely serve as some fun.

| I agree that HoTs campaign was immeasurably more in line with sc and sc:bw than WoL. Although I had more fun in WoL as i felt it was more challenging as HoTs just felt like i was watching a movie i was casually playing thru. Different Strokes i guess

| I wonder what the new units are going to be in LOTV and if the Hybrids will be an actual race (in the campaign). So many possibilities!

| Excellent Story actually, I liked the way they developed Kerrigan as an anti-heroine. I hope they will make the next "expansion" just as epic or even more!

| WoL's campaign missions was just so much of a rehash of the Terran campaign from SC1 that comparing to the HotS story is just plain unfair.
