| It seems to have been down for a few days, I can't access it and its not appearing on the front page either.

| The server is functioning, you need to use the address rather than the IP. I am assuming the website grabs its data from the IP address hence it cant connect since it has changed.

| Ok then the IP needs to be fixed as a lot of members use that to connect from the main page.

| The IP can not be "fixed". That is not under our control nor is it an error for an IP address to be changed. This is why DNS exists. Anyone who is using the IP directly instead of the domain name is doing it wrong and needs to correct their teamspeak settings.

| The sidebar is mainly what I was talking about as that's the only way to access it from the website for new members.
Also, they don't offer a static ip?

| The sidebar has been fixed.
You should never assume an IP won't change. This is one of the main reasons that DNS exists. Particularly now as the IPv4 address space has become exhausted you should expect IP changes to become more and more common. Eventually most of the internet won't even use publicly routeable IPv4 addresses at all and will instead either use extensive and often nested NAT or masquerade techniques or will move to IPv6 for those things that must be routeable.

The TLDR is that using hardcoded IP addresses was a bad idea 20 years ago, was a bad idea 10 years ago but is becoming a much worse idea quickly.

| It should work from the website to the server. The link now points at:
ts3server://confederation.typefrag.com?port=4050
which is the proper domain name rather than IP address.
